SHIFTWORKS® Tachometers work with MSD Ignition systems but with the following understandings. MSD has many different ignitions and they are not all the “same”. Some MSD systems require an MSD Box with a Tachometer Output. The new ready-to-run MSD Ignition systems allow connecting the Tachometer to the Coil. However, the use of a High Current Coil, like the MSD Blaster SS, can cause the Tachometer to not work properly. The purchase of a MSD Tach Adaptor or the use of a standard MSD Blaster coil may resolve the problem. MSD suggests other solutions as well. CHECK WITH MSD FIRST for your particular application.
